When G-SHOCK comes to mind, many immediately envision their extremely popular, octagonally shaped 2100 series. That line continues to be a cornerstone of modern G-SHOCK. So much so that the brand has continued to evolve both it's design and feature set. And with this latest iteration, we now have what is arguably the best 2100 yet.

This new GBM2100 line features a forged, cut, and polished steel bezel covering a glass fiber-reinforced resin inner case that protects the 5729 module inside. To enhance its appearance, a hairline finish is applied to the top surface and a mirror polish on the sides. The diameter is now 44.4mm, the lug-to-lug length 49.3mm, and the thickness only 11.9mm; new measurements lower that now lead to a more compact watch. All while remaining highly shock-resistant and water-resistant up to 20 bars.

Its standard watch features from the 5729 module inside include world time, stopwatch, timer, multiple alarms, calendar, and multiple lighting capabilities. Bonus smartphone features are mobile link via Bluetooth, auto time adjustment, easy watch setting, approximately 300 world time cities, time and place, reminders, and phone finder. With all of this being powered by light, so there are no battery changes.
